How to Choose an Internet Service Provider(ISP) from PC Magazine :

While most people use the Internet just to send e-mail and access the Web, those are just two of the many services and applications an ISP (Internet Service Provider) can provide. An ISP will often handle domain name registration for your company, so your e-mail can be addressed to yourcompany.com instead of the ISP's domain name, and
customers can access your Web site directly instead of having to pass through the ISP's home page.

For a fee, you should be able to publish your Web pages and files on a shared server hosted and maintained by your ISP. Some ISPs require you to set up Web servers at your location, but maintaining an active Web site might not be something you want on your plate. Some providers and consulting companies even offer Web site design services.

Other important services that an ISP should offer include firewalls for security and a virtual private network (VPN). A firewall will protect your data from intruders. We will also monitor the firewall 24 hours a day to ensure no one gets through. A VPN lets you use the ISP's network as your wide-area network similar to an intranet. Your traffic will probably move across the same wires as other Internet traffic, but the ISP's routers will handle it differently and won't expose it to anyone outside the VPN. A VPN can be less expensive than paying for dedicated lines that connect your branch offices. It's a good idea to ask if your ISP can provide a committed information rate (CIR) to guarantee your minimum throughput.

If you're going to pay a lot of money every month to connect your business to the Internet, you'll want to be able to manage your connections and keep track of usage. A good ISP can provide you with round-the-clock management of your hardware and connections, as well as statistics on usage. These reports will help you determine if you have enough bandwidth and whether some users are surfing the Internet more than they should.

Many small local ISPs are only open during the week and don't provide technical support after hours. We provide support 24 hours a day. If you work late or your business never closes, we make sure that you have access to unlimited technical support and that the service provider is monitoring your connection continuously. Besides being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, larger ISPs usually have larger and better-trained support staffs.

We provide everything you need to market your business and access the internet. The technical issues and details will be handled by us. All you have to do is make the decision to get on the Internet. We will answer all your questions. We will pick the best web designer for the job (a web designer/developer is a person with marketing and design skills who can create an online office). We will take care of the computers that contain your online office and supply you with computers and hardware as requested for your needs.
